WHAT WE DO

VII Academy provides tuition-free courses in visual education for students from the Majority World and underrepresented communities in G20 countries. VII Academy is the education program of The VII Foundation.

VII Academy core courses are 12-week seminars taught in multiple languages. Participants begin with the Level 1 course in photography before progressing to other courses.

In addition to the core courses, the VII Academy offers advanced and special visual education initiatives designed to diversify visual media education in underrepresented communities worldwide, including:

Enrolment in VII Academy courses is by application so follow the guidance on how to apply. Please visit our courses page to see those which are open for application, as well as bursaries and scholarships currently on offer.

Most VII Academy courses are currently delivered online because of the continuing global Covid-19 pandemic. We will return to teaching some courses in-person at our two campuses and different locations around the world when conditions are safe.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
