“Amplifying Student Voices” Project: Terms and Conditions
These initial VII Academy weekly sessions are open to any and all former students of workshops run by VII Academy, or any former majority world student of Philip Blenkinsop or Daniel Schwartz.
By registering for the “Amplifying Students Voice” project, the applicant agrees to submit one or more images to be considered for online discussion and possible inclusion on the VII Academy Instagram feed and social media platforms.
Registered participants are eligible to upload images and access the discussion each week but are under no obligation to do so.
Any photograph so used by the VII Academy will carry the photographer’s credit/copyright line.
The applicant retains all copyrights to his/her images that he/she chooses to share with the VII Academy for the purpose of the project.
The applicant agrees to grant royalty-free licenses for the work that he/she chooses to share with the VII Academy for the purpose of the project. He/she agrees that all the images submitted to this project can be used by the VII Academy to promote its activities, be it online, on social media, in exhibitions, installations and in all other non-commercial activities.
It will be necessary for the VII Academy to collect the applicant’s personal data in order to administer and manage this project, including but not limited to processing the registration and keeping the applicant informed about the project.
The type of personal data we collect for this project may include each applicant’s name, affiliated business/school name, email address, telephone number, postal address and any other information requested in the registration form.
The VII Academy only collects personal data voluntarily submitted by the applicant.
Personal data submitted by the applicant will only be used to administer and manage this project, and for the VII Academy’s internal use, such as performing marketing studies, research projects and program development.
The VII Academy will not share, sell, or rent personal data submitted by the applicant to any third party for their promotional use or any marketing purposes, except in the event a third party vendor is acting as an agent of the VII Academy for operational support in connection with the project.
The VII Academy’s main place of business is in the United States. If the applicant is submitting the registration form from outside the United States, his/her information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States where the VII Academy’s servers are located, and the applicant agrees to such cross-boarder transfers of personal data.
The VII Academy is committed to protecting personal data from loss, misuse, alteration, and unauthorized access, and to take reasonable precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of personal data, including physical access controls to our premises, use of passwords to access our systems, use of encryption when appropriate, and use of anti-virus software.
Although The VII Academy makes every effort to protect the information provided by the applicant, the information transmitted over the internet is by nature not completely secure. As such, the VII Academy cannot guarantee personal data security transmitted over the internet, in spite of the high level of protection undergone.
